Miley Cyrus Speaks for Occupy Wallstreet

Every generation has movement to end something terribly wicked. The 60s had protests of the Vietnam War; the 70s had protests against disco; the 80s had protests against small hair and men who looked like men; the 90s had protests against men who looked like women. Now the Willenium now has protests against the top 1% of the population.

Each generation had their own speakers and voices singing songs of protest, 60s: Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Pete Seeger, the 70s had KISS, Ted Nugent, and Sonny and Cher, The 80s had Bob Seager, Guns N' Roses, and Flock of Seagulls, What was I talking about? Shit, I just started naming my favorite bands.

Oh yes, each generation of protests has a musical voice. The Occupy Wallstreet movement now finally has a voice, Miley Cyrus. Sure it may not be the voice they wanted, but it's the voice they got. Miley Cyrus released a...well I will call it an Occupy Anthem, called Liberty Walk. In the song she proclaims:

It’s a liberty walk, walk. Say goodbye to the people who tied you up…Free yourself, slam the door, not a prisoner anymore

That's right people. Free yourself from what restrains you like banks, work, and pants. Say goodbye to those who tied you up, like banks, work, and Gupta the Columbian dominatrix who you pay to tie you up and trim your excessive nipple hair while listening to the Scooby Doo theme song.

The song begins with white letters that say: This is dedicated to the thousands of people who are standing up for what they believe in. It's such a noble cause to give a voice to the 99% of the people who need her to speak for them. Congratulations Occupy Wallstreet, you finally got the voice you all wanted...Miley Cyrus.

The video couldn't be embeded, so I decided to embed the song. #Theseare1stworldproblems!
