Megadeth Names Th1rt3en As Next Album
Dave Mustaine, guitarist and Rhoades scholar, has named Th1rt3en as the name of the next Megadeth album.
01. Sudden Death
"really old classic [Black] Sabbath and with a little bit of a modern edge of Queens of the Stone Age kind of thing."
The cleverly titled 13th studio album by Megadeth will be released through Roadrunner Records on November 1st - All Souls Day if you are Catholic. Th1rt3en will be the first album since 2001's The World Needs a Hero to feature founding member Dave Ellefson on bass.
The tracklisting for Th1rt3en looks like this:
01. Sudden Death
02. Public Enemy No. 1
03. Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)
04. We the People
05. Guns, Drugs & Money
06. Never Dead
07. New World Order
08. Fast Lane
09. Black Swan
10. Wrecker
11. Millennium of the Blind
12. Deadly Nightshade
13. 13
The band performed Public Enemy No. 1 live in Italy. The visual quality is terrible, but the sound isn't. It gives you a nice idea of what the song sounds like.
In an interview, Ellefson described the new album like this:
"really old classic [Black] Sabbath and with a little bit of a modern edge of Queens of the Stone Age kind of thing."
I don't really think this song sounds anything like that description, but you might think so.
