Lou Reed and Metallica Name Collaboration Album

This is old news, as of a few days ago, but I will tell you...it's hard being Craig Wettner. For the last couple of days I have been dealing with the strangest set of self-realizations. One...I was jerking off to some Haley Paige material and asked, as I frequently do, Where are they now? That's when I learned that Ms. Paige was dead and that I had just jerked off to a dead porn star.

If that wasn't enough I had to attend a funeral for a Great-Grandmother. It was kind of eerie circumstances...jerking off to a dead porn star than going to a funeral, all in the span of a few hours. That is why I have been lapse on this news, but I am back hard on.

Lou Reed is teaming up with Metallica and the collaboration will be called Lulu. Someone in the fru-fru artsy-fartsy world explains to me that "Lulu was inspired by German expressionist writer Frank Wedekind's plays "Earth Spirit" and "Pandora's Box," which tell a story of a young abused dancer's life and relationships and are now collectively known as the "Lulu Plays.""

Lou Reed and Metallica have launched a new website where they will debut song snippets and information about the record as time draws closer. I am thinking it will have every person in black at a coffee house. Lars sitting Indian style on a cushion, black turtleneck, Lennon rose-colored glasses, bongos on his lap. Lou Reed sitting on a stool reciting poetry into the microphone. James Hetfield backing him up with well-placed OOOH YEAH! Rob Trujilo doing an interpretive monkey dance, while Kirk watches his neighbor rape his dog. (link to that story).

Come to think of it...if that isn't what is delivered, I'll be disappointed.
