This seems like a record company release with little to no input from the band. Greatest Hits collections are nothing but contract fillers. A band might have to deliver five albums to the record company, but run out of creative juices around album four...so GREATEST HITS BABY!

Greatest hits collections typically sell well too as most people only care about the hits and not the record that wraps around those radio singles. To each their own, I consider this band part of the post-alternative shit bandfest.

We have been saturated with terrible radio friendly bands that have an "edge" because their lead singer has a deep throaty scream. Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Skillet, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, and Red. They are all the same in both musical style and lyrical content.

I had the opportunity to interview Ben Burnley during his solo acoustic shows. This was a time when Breaking Benjamin had not confirmed they were officially on hiatus and their were rumors swirling about his illness (Wernicke's encephalopathy) which was caused by his alcoholism. However, the publict was a big bag of douche. You can find out more about my non-interview with Burnley here.

The non-interview was a turning point for me as the primary writer for this site. I realized I don't get paid enough to deal with the shit artists and the publicists shovel out to small time sites like us. They will put up with a lot of crap from Stern because they need Stern for the publicity. They don't need the 10,000 hits a month we get, we are small time. They make the most insane demands and toss us off because they don't need us. But, that conversation is for another time, or buy me a drink and I'll tell you all about what we have already had to deal with.
