Blue Oyster Cult Headlined Illustrious Baby Food Festival
Blue Oyster Cult found a fabulous gig at the National Baby Food Festival in Michigan. The band of such hits as "Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken pretend to be the band in a skit on SNL" performed at the Veterans Memorial Park Amphitheater on the Spanky's Pizza Community stage.
The Baby Food Festival had a Totally 80s stage and had Blue Oyster Cult headline the stage, which makes no sense to me. The band was a 70s band, (Don't) Fear the Reaper was released in 1976 and the band's first album was released in 72. By 1983, the band had pretty much fallen off the face of the Earth.
I can't stand this band. I truly believe that without the More Cowbell skit, we wouldn't really be talking about Blue Oyster Cult. I love pureed turkey dinner that is orange as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't go and see Blue Oyster Cult ever.
