Vince Neil Says Voice is Stronger Than Ever
Vince Neil is on the sauce. Matthew Wilkening of Ultimate Classic Rock recently conducted an interview with MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.
Ultimate Classic Rock: Is it harder to sing any of your older songs now?
Vince: No, it's actually getting easier. My voice is getting better now than it's ever been in my 30-year career. I'm just happy it is. Songs are easier to sing now. I think your voice just matures. Even when MÖTLEY doesn't tour, I tour with my solo band, so I sing constantly. I haven't had a break since 2003 from singing. It's a muscle — the more you use it, the stronger it gets.

This is an insane comment. Vince Neil barely sings the Motley Crue songs as they are. Singing "He's the one" *microphone to the crowd* "He's the one" *microphone to the crowd* isn't singing.
He is one of the laziest singers too, almost zero interaction with the crowd, lost in his own world. A good classic rock frontman, as much as I'd hate to admit it, is Bret Michaels. He is out there giving 100% percent every night even when he had a brain aneurysm. He also sings every note and every word of every song he's done.
But don't take my word for it, Poison and Motley Crue are touring together and you can compare the two singers BACK to BACK. It is a good show, the NY Dolls are opening. But if you can't make it to any of the shows, here is a small hint.

U R A Dumb Ass! I saw Vince in Birmingham, AL, 2 nites before the Tampa show, and Vince was Awesome! He Looked & Sounded BeauTiFuL! AND HE SANG ALL THE WORDS!! WAS NOT ONE BIT LAZY! I was worn out, just from standin there in that heat for 3 hours. I dont know how Vince did it! He never stood still! Constantly Running back & forth, to each side of the stage! HE WAS THE SHOW!! And, i mean, he is 50 yrs old! And u dont think about the fact that theyv been doin this Evry Nite for a while! Id be exhausted! But, iv Loved them, mainly Vince, since i was like, 9 yes old, and he put on a better show than even i imagined!! Awesome! The only thing, i paid good money, for two 11th row seats. Bought em 3 nites before concert, from TicketMaster, U would think that they wouldv told me that Poison wasnt gonna be there! Cuz, they knew! I Didnt know til DROVE 600 MILES to see my 2 Favs in whole wide world!! False Advertisement! Found out next day, that Poison is opening for them-XCEPT for 2 Dates-This just happened to be one of them! But, i wouldv chose VINCE over Bret, any day, but was still messed up!
But, anyways...UR A DUMB ASS!!

It took you 35 minutes to type that horribly misspelled rant that hardly made sense? I've seen the Crüe many times and got the same lazy Vince Neil, but I'm not going to argue with you over it.

I have many favorite bands and Crüe is one of them. The reason I continue to go to their shows is because I get free tickets to review the shows.
I couldn't make the Poison/Crüe this year as I had to cover the A Perfect Circle show.
My opinion is steeped in my experiences seeing both Vince Neil solo and the Crüe. It can also be backed up by YouTube.
