Coheed and Cambria Bassist Arrested for Armed Robbery

Coheed and Cambria, which isn't a law firm I checked, had their bassist, Michael Todd arrested. I know, big shocker a band had a member arrested, well not usually in this way. He robbed a Walgreens for Oxycontin using a cell phone that that said he had a bomb. That equals armed robbery and a very serious offense.

He was able to get six bottles of Oxycontin and fled in a taxi. Holy shit a taxi, dumb move number three on Todd's part. The taxi was located by dispatch where the driver identified Todd at the Comcast Center where Coheed and Cambria were set to open for Soundgarden. Identified by the driver then identified by surveillance cameras and the pharmacist.

Coheed and Cambria released this statement:

Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled.

We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.

Todd was kicked out of the band before due to substance problems and it looks like he won't be returning. To quote George W Bush, "Fool me once shame on me, Fool me twice shame on you...won't get fooled again."

But if they followed my first rule: never trust a man with two first names, they wouldn't have been in this situation. If they ignored the first rule, the second rule would have caught that, never trust a junkie. Third rule is don't trust a ho, but that doesn't seem relevant in this case.

He must have been on a short leash from the band after his prior fuck up, a legit band manager should have been able to procure the illicit drugs for him. He shouldn't be out there robbing Happy Harry's Walgreens for his fix.
