The Dirty Pearls Release TWO Music Videos

Some bands go their entire career and never release a music video. Others get only one and the music video is their kid sister in a stupid bee costume. The Dirty Pearls aren't just any band and they certainly don't do anything half assed....well unless it is the women and they are usually bare assed. You'll understand that in a minute.

To help promote their upcoming debut album, The Dirty Pearls worked hard and selected Who's Coming Back to Who and Static as their lead singles.

The first single, just because it was released yesterday, is Static. It has a cool idea for a video, each band member emerges from the white fuzz on a TV set. If I am critically dissecting the videos intent, it would be The Dirty Pearls spent a lot of time in the NYC static, working their way to the front. Glimpses of them emerged silently over the years, until finally the entire band can be discerned from the fuzz signifying the band has arrived from the crowded music scene to lead the rock n' roll charge.

The song itself is a catchy number with harmonizes that I can safely call "Dirty Pearls" harmonies. Those harmonies surround and bring the listener back from the raucous guitar work laid down by Tommy Mokas and Johnny B. Check out the first single Static here:

The second video is for their main single Who's Coming Back to Who and was directed by Jasin Cadic of Starkiller fame. This video is more my type, scantily clad women, leather bikers, and a rock performance where everyone is enjoying a great band and a great brew. This video is a bit darker as the theme explores a tumultuous love affair between Jasin and his on and off again girlfriend.

Music videos exist to get a feel for what the band is about and to promote the album, I feel the second one (Who's Coming Back to Who) does that way more than the video Static does. But visually, Static kept me intrigued. It was like a game of Guess Who...which band member is that? Whose crazy hair is that? Either video should help you get excited for the upcoming debut album of New York's best kept secret. Soon the secret will be out of the bag and the world will singing Who's Coming Back to Who babe?
