Alice in Chains Announcement Coming on Monday
Alice in Chains relaunched their website today and are teasing a special announcement that will be made on Monday April 11. We have no information on what that might mean, but I can't see it being a tour. The band toured their ass off behind Black Gives Way to Blue.
Alice in Chains were able to pull off a rare feat with Black Gives Way to Blue, they created a great record that holds up to their prior material after the death of their lead singer. Layne Staley was a great frontman with a unique voice that combined with the background harmonizing of Jerry Cantrell made for an interesting take on the grunge sound.
Somehow, they were able to pull Robert Duvall away from acting and....wait his name is William? Any relation to Robert Duvall? None? Ok....William Duvall sounds very similar to Layne, but also different enough that the new Alice in Chains has a new fresh feel.
