Albums Turning 20 This Year
2011 and 20 years ago means the year was 1991. Ah the 90's were just beginning and hair metal still ruled the airwaves, that is until Nirvana's Nevermind was released in 1991. That's right, Nevermind turns 20 this year and here are a few other great albums also turning 20 this year...in no particular order
Alice Cooper's - Hey Stoopid
The Cult - Ceremony
Skid Row - Slave to the Grind
U2 - Actung Baby
Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I and II
Metallica - Metallica
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Pearl Jam - Ten
Type O Negative - Slow Deep and Hard (debut album for the band)
Ugly Kid Joe - Ugly As They Want to Be (debut album for the band)
Reverend Horton Heat - Smoke Em If You Got Em
Temple of the Dog - Temple of the Dog
Screaming Trees - Uncle Anesthesia
Dinosaur Jr. - Green Mind (had Matt Dillion on backing vocals)
The Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
Tom Petty - Into the Great Wide Open
Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill
Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears
Kyuss - Wretch
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Bryan Adams - Waking Up the Neighbors
These are the albums I remember buying in 1991 and is by no means a comprehensive list of those albums released that year. That is a big list of great albums you probably remember buying on the day they were released. Maybe you were in the long lines in front of record stores ready to buy Use Your Illusion I and II. Maybe you were on the forefront of grunge with Nirvana's Nevermind or Pearl Jam's Ten.
You now officially feel old thanks to me. You are welcome!

I also forgot these albums:
Michael Jackson's Dangerous
REM - Out of Time
Anthrax - Attack of the Killer B's
Some people probably bought Van Hagar's For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge....but I contend that stupid lame-ass album didn't exist.
