Weezer Sell Out AGAIN!
A lot of commercials recently have featured hipsters bands (Vampire Weekend, The Black Keys, Pomplamousse) and I laugh every time I hear them.
The bands are just getting paid and I understand and respect that, but their hipster fans who "like the band because of their lyrics and underground appeal" make me slap my knee laughing. These young kids and their hipster bands who are promptly selling out to large corporations like Subaru, Honda, Hyundai, Zales, etc. If you hear a song you might like on a commercial, 9 times out of 10 some flannel shirt wearing douchebag heard them before they signed that car contract. Their gods are selling out faster than Greed $immons.
Shortly after selling out completely by creating an album around the surf clothing company Hurley, Weezer has solidified their sell out label by creating a State Farm jingle. You want to hear it? I would advise against it if you like Weezer...actually there are no true Weezer fans left.
