Rocklahoma Lineup Announced

Rocklahoma is the redneck destination festival in Pryor, Oklahoma. This years lineup is headlined by Motley Crue, Staind, and Whitesnake.

Let's be honest, since returning as a band Motley Crue has left a lot to be desired. Their first retro tour was fun (Carnival of Sins) and Vince was a bloated bullfrog singing every other line. Since that tour they have had their own festival, which had mixed results and done radio festivals and gotten blow off the stage by Godsmack and other younger, hungrier bands.

Vince Neil
has now released a lazy covers record, done his own solo tour that was a failure in both attendance and his performance and been arrested for DUIs. We are soon about to see Motley Crue as fronted by John Corabi and you know what, it might be more true to the Motley Crue we came to love in the 80s than this Vince Neil Lethargy Crue.

Staind is boring live. You would have more fun watching watching an ice sculpture melt and you wouldn't be as depressed. Whitesnake is a different story. Coverdale is an amazing frontman and if they stick to their older stuff, which they won't, you would have a great bluesy set. I'd rather see Whitesnake over the Lethargy Crue.

The rest of the lineup is as hit and miss as the three headliners:

Seether, Papa Roach, Saving Abel, Skillet, Sick Puppies, Sebastian Bach, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, My Darkest Days, Rev Theory, All That Remains, Escape The Fate, Cavo, The Gracious Few (featuring members of Live and Candlebox), Hail the Villain, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, Taddy Porter, Pop Evil, Crooked X, Texas Hippie Coalition, New Medicine, Art of Dying, Electric Touch, One Less Reason, Gypsy Pistoleros, Alias, Wildstreet, The Glitter Boys, Gunner Sixx, Black Tora, Mad Max, Aura Surreal, Firstryke, Aska, Pretty Little Suicide, Arena, Blue Tiger, Bad Things, Cutlass, Mock Star

You should all be familiar with Wildstreet. I covered their latest EP Wildstreet II Louder Faster here. They put on a great show and you should become a fan of them NOW! Great 80's sound.
