Pearl Jam to Rerelease Vs and Vitalogy

Pearl Jam is going to reissue remastered versions their iconic albums Vs. and Vitalogy with additional three bonus tracks for each album. The new remastered albums will be available on March 29, 2011.

The Definitive Legacy Edition of 1993's "Vs." — the band's seven-times platinum second album — adds a previously unreleased acoustic version of "Hold On," and studio outtake "Cready Stomp," and a cover of Victoria Williams' "Crazy Mary."

The Definitive Legacy version of 1994's "Vitalogy" throws in previously unreleased studio versions of favorites "Better Man," "Corduroy" and a demo version of "Nothingman." Both are available as 180 gram vinyl ($19.98 - $24.98) or CD ($9.98).

They will also be releasing a super special deluxe edition of each album that will include Live at the Orpheum Theater‘ from April 12th, 1994 that includes a setlist compiled by the band's stage crew.

It is going to be a busy year for Pearl Jam in their 20th year. They will be releasing a Cameron Crowe directed documentary and an accompanying book. There will also be a mini-festival to celebrate Pearl Jam's anniversary, but no date or bands have been announced. Soundgarden have been rumored to play since Matt Cameron is the drummer for both bands, but that seems unlikely to me as it would be hard to pull double duty for both Pearl Jam (who would definitely play the festival) and Soundgarden.
