Remembering Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy

Today 25 years ago the rock world lost Phil Lynott. There are few dead rockstars who I actively listen to every day. I hear Jimi enough when I just toss on the radio, same thing with Bonham and Zeppelin, but Phil and Thin Lizzy are amazing. The sound, the lyrics, the control, the showmanship, Thin Lizzy and Phil had it all. In their short tenure, they produced one of the finest records (Jailbreak) and one of the best Live albums (Live and Dangerous) to ever be released.

There was only one lyric I didn't really think was all that ingenious:

Tonight there's going to be a jailbreak
Somewhere in this town.

Um, that somewhere could probably be narrowed down to the jail Phil. Other than that, the man was a poet and you can't convince me otherwise. Much better poet than that fraud Jim Morrison.
