Ozzy Osbourne Will Be Joined By Slash on Tour
Slash and his current solo band will be opening up for Ozzy Osbourne on a small stint of dates. Here are those dates:
Jan. 16 - Omaha, NE – Qwest Center
Jan. 22 - Kansas City, MO – Sprint Center
Feb. 01 - Universal City, CA - Gibson Amphitheatre
Feb. 03 - San Jose, CA - HP Pavilion
Feb. 05 - Tacoma Dome - Tacoma, WA
Feb. 14 - i wireless Center - Moline, IL
I would expect a few more shows in larger markets to be added. In fact, I was listening to an interview with Slash on local 93.3 WMMR and he hinted that he would be in Philadelphia with Ozzy in 2011.
While this tour would be a fun one to attend have you sat down and listened to the new Ozzy Osbourne record Scream? It is just awful - primarily the vocal effects on Ozzy's voice. I understand his voice isn't what it used to be due to many circumstances (drugs, age, alcohol, etc) but to overuse the effects is insane. If you need to use them, could you use them sparingly? Nope Ozzy doesn't know how to indulge in things just recreationally. He has to go all Motley Crue x 80 on alcohol, drugs, and now vocal effects. If you don't believe me, check it out below.
