A Perfect Circle Playing First Concerts in Years
One of my favorite bands, A Perfect Circle, will be coming out of retirement...of sorts. The band featuring James Maynard Keenan (Tool frontman) and Billy Howerdel (Ashes Divide) will be playing their first gigs since 2004.
Hell it has been since 2004 since they were together? I sadly, got into this band well after they had a few radio hits. I never got to see them live and living on the East coast....I still won't.
A Perfect Circle will play a few theater shows on the lesser coast. The fun part about this is there will be three nights where you can catch A Perfect Circle playing their three albums in their entirety. Night one of the stay is Mer de Noms, night two Thirteenth Step, and night three eMOTIVe.
The other cool thing is the lineup has changed slightly. Instead of Paz Lenchantin and Jeordie White you will get James Iha and Matt McJunkins. Josh Freese is still on the drums. But Maynard didn't rule them out of the reunion:
“I think some of the shows, depending on timing and depending on scheduling, we’ll have Paz and Troy and Jeordie pop down for a song or two.”
The confirmed show locations are below with dates to be released soon. I am hoping if this goes well other dates will be added (New York or Philly to be specific). I wouldn't know what date to attend since I love both Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step equally. Tough choice there.
Phonenix, Arizona , Tempe Marquee Theatre (3 nights)
Los Angeles, the Avalon Ballroom (3 nights)
Seattle, Showbox at the Market (3 nights)
San Francisco, the Fillmore (3 nights)
Las Vegas, The Pearl (2 nights, not playing eMOTIVe)

A Perfect Circle hasn't played in years. this is big news! I've never seen them live, but since they're playing on the West Coast, I might be able to make it to a show depending on the dates.
