The Godfather of Grunge, Neil Young, is ready to release a new solo album entitled Le Noise. The album is produced by legendary U2 producer Daniel Lanois. You may recall Lanois produced U2's The Joshua Tree for which he won a Grammy, and The Unforgettable Fire, Achtung Baby, and All That You Can't Leave Behind. Certainly winning a Grammy doesn't mean a God damn thing as they were rendered meaningless in the 80s with the Jethro Tull win over Metallica and Milli Vanilli winning for Best New Artist.

I am intrigued at this match up because Lanois has a distinct style of producing albums and who doesn't love Neil Young? We won't have to wait very long because the album will be released on September 28th through Reprise Records. Here is the tracklisting for the album:
