Retro Interviews: The Good
Retro week continues to roll on with a highlight of some of our best interviews. We have have been fortunate enough to talk to some of our musical heroes and got the chance to interview our friends. Sometimes those interviews work out for the best, sometimes they go on for far too long.
In the whirlwind press tour for his Angel Down record Sebastian Bach called us on the phone. Somehow he his publicist got a hold of our little site and thought it would be a great opportunity to get Bach in front of an audience he never had been before....the blogging world. It was our best interview to date, mostly because Bach is a great interview. You can read the full interview and listen to the podcast here.
While Sebastian Bach is grounded in some reality, Valient Thorr isn't even from this planet. The enigmatic front man of Valient Thorr gave the strangest interview we had. He spoke about underground dwelling, what will happen if this planet doesn't shape up, and the importance of the Earth food Hush Puppies. You can read the interview and listen to the podcast here.
George Lynch is a legendary guitarist of Dokken and we got to interview him in a car after a show. Yes it was a one on one interview in the front seat of a vehicle while screaming fans attempted to rip his clothes off and subsequent claw our eyes out just for being with him. He provided a hilarious and dead on interview as he tried to promote that shitty side band Souls of We. Check out our Lynch interview here.
There are two great comedic bands that provided us with a hilarious interview. Our questions to them could be less serious and more playful just because of the nature of the whole thing. That is why Steel Panther and Van Stone still rank up there as one of our best interviews. The answers and responses we got from them are still funny to read. Take a moment to read the Steel Panther interview here and the Van Stone interview here.
Join us tomorrow where we will show you our musician friend interviews and our worst interviews ever.
