Dead Weather Yells At New York Hipster Crowd
Last week Dead Weather, Jack White's latest project, played a secret
show at Don Hill's in NYC to a star studded crowd. The "stars" included
big lips Liv Tyler, Sean Lennon, Alexa Chung (whoever the fuck she is),
and Mary-Kate Olsen.
But Mr. White was less than enthused about the hipster crowd. He told the crowd:
"Fuck you, you hip motherfuckers!" he told the audience at one point. "Why don't you rock the fuck out? Maybe I should go grab those free drinks and shove them down your throats, you hip motherfuckers!"
White then apologized to the crowd later on for his behavior saying:
"I'm sorry I blew up at you guys earlier," he said, adding: "Thanks for coming out."
No need to apologize, but this is your own fault. Toss an invite only secret show, provide free drinks, and if you are shocked by the clientele you get with that? Eat a dick!
You have to know someone to get invited to these things and the fans of your band don't know those people. So you see Jack, the crowd was your fault. Do a secret gig, but let the fans of the band in. You will get a better environment of people into your music rather than the stiff as a board hipster douche bags with their skinny jeans, overpriced Apple products, and flannel shirts.
