Just once I would like to see a band who has a socially aware persona hocking something stupid because money is tight. A band who for years made their living off trying to wake people up to genocide, atrocities, and the failures of certain technology. I want to see System of a Down pitching OxiClean. Think of the WTF moment you would have turning on Judge Judy in the afternoon and seeing this:



I will bet you would feel better about yourself because you don't have to sling TV products at geriatrics and pudding eaters. Who didn't feel that System of a Down was a bit self-righteous, despite their desire to make the world a better place and educate the masses. Here was a guy who had a big rock band back at the turn of the Willenium and now has to pitch a cleaning product to make ends meet. Your smug self-worth factor would increase.

This would work well for another socially aware band like Rage Against the Machine. The problem here is you have seen Tom Morello sell himself out for less things (AHEM Street Sweeper Social Club), but think of Zack De La Rocha doing Shamwow.



That would explain his absence in music the last 10 years.
