Slipknot Paul Gray Had Morphine in System

Slipknot's bassist Paul Gray died about a month ago. The medical examiner has finally ruled on what caused his death and it was what you would expect. Gray died of an accidental overdose of morphine and fentanyl.

Fentanyl is a synthetic form of morphine that can be more potent than morphine. He clearly had a problem and not even the fact he was about to have a child could help him out of drug abuse.

It is a tough business. Idle down time cris-crossing the country on a bus will make you do stupid shit to pass the time. Drugs and rock n' roll go hand in hand and sometimes they fuel creativity.

Many have been able to kick the habit and many more have not. If your friends or family are abusing and using, it is your duty to get them help. Don't let their talent be extinguished just because they are addicted to heroin.

Another talent gone for the drugs. Paul was expecting his baby to be born but even that wasn't strong enough to make him reconsider his drug habit. Once you go on drugs your mind is captive, you don't set any priorities and you gamble your life every day until you lose it.
