Dr. Demento quietly signed off for the final time on terrestrial radio. The quirky music show that launched Weird Al Yankovic and Grand-mom Got Run Over by a Reindeer moved to internet radio. His terrestrial radio show fell six nationwide affiliates and the long time supporter Chicago WLUP-FM, removed it from the air. WLUP had supported Demento for almost 25 years.

I used to work for a radio station that syndicated Dr. Demento, but had to drop him due to his insane pricing scheme. He was apparently still living in the late 70's and 80's when people remembered who the hell he is. I used to listen to Dr. Demento and used to find the coolest fucking songs on his program. Parodies, comedy songs, ear worms that just wouldn't get out of your head.
