Nigel Dick has directed every Nickelback video ever created. The band wanted to release This Afternoon as a feel-good summer hit and Nigel said something to the effect "In every Nickelback video someone dies. Let's make a fun video." What resulted was Nickelback's version of fun, which is essentially a frat party.

There are cookie cutter blond models sitting by the pool. Cheerleaders who come out of nowhere and cheer and hook up with the dorks of the video. There is a kidnapped beer guy who allows punk kids to steal his six pack boxes and so on. The song sucks, but that really isn't the point of this post.

Remember the fun Motley Crue videos? They wanted to do a fun video and they dress like the Mad Max fucked the Devil, have a post Armageddon set, and bang out Looks That Kill.

I always wanted to be in the porn business, but I am not endowed and my arms are too weak to position lights or hold boom mics. I wanted to be the guy who wiped the feet of the girls. Yes, there is a guy who makes sure that the talent, who walks around bare foot all around the set, have clean feet when they are positioned near their head. This guy is VERY important because dirty feet is a turn off for most.

Well this Nickelback video needed me. I think 70% of the women had dirty feet. Yea, I know, I am gay for looking at their dirty feet, but again it is something I notice because it is my calling.
