Slipknot's bassist Paul Gray, 38, was found dead at approximately 10:50 a.m. today by an employee at TownePlace Suites. Foul play was not suspected, which likely means drugs. Young age + musician sadly usually means drugs.

Paul Gray was expecting a child with his wife, which makes this news even more depressing. Whether you like Slipknot or not, the band has had an undeniable effect on metal and brought it to the mainstream America. Gray's bass playing was a big part of their rhythm section and their definitive sound. He was also a great showman, even wearing a mongoloid cock sucking mask.

A toxicology report is expected soon and that should tell the world if drugs, sleeping pills, alcohol, etc were involved in this senseless death. If it is drugs, it is sad that the birth of your first born isn't enough to snap you out of the addiction. Addiction is a powerful problem.
