The Ramones Could Have Biopic Coming

The Ramones will have a biopic made about them and as far as biopics go, it could be interesting. The Runaway's biopic was a total disaster, but it doesn't have the debauchery that The Ramones biopic could possibly entail. Check out this quote from the New York Magazine from The Ramones first drummer Tommy Ramone:

"We were riding in our van and we made a rest stop at this restaurant," recounted Tommy, "and after seeing us walk in, the owner of the place went up to our tour manager and said, 'It's so nice of you to be taking care of those retarded kids.' He was serious. That was pretty status quo at the time."

Hilarious!

The problem with The Runaways was outside of musical circles, the plebs don't know that Joan Jett was in a band before I Love Rock N' Roll. They only know Joan and couldn't even tell you another Runaway if you had a gun to their head. Then you had scene chewer, and lip chewer, Kristen Stewart in it. It had the correct recipe to fail.

The Ramones are more renowned. They have a great following and people still listen to their music. When is the last time you heard a Runaways song? Now think when is the last time you heard a Ramones song? With good casting and a good story, I'd see a Ramones biopic in theaters.
