Jimi Hendrix's estate has released Valleys of Neptune. The new Hendrix album contains 12 previously unreleased studio tracks. The album predominantly features the original lineup of The Jimi Hendrix Experience: vocalist and guitarist Hendrix, bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell.

This is the closest we are going to get at what the next musical step for Jimi may have been. It is a great record for nostalgia and also to show where Jimi was going with the follow up to Electric Ladyland. Thanks to Scatter Tunes, you can get a free download of a song off this album.
