Florida Marlins Hate Their Fans and Music
The Florida Marlins baseball team is not content with their meager
attendance this year. They have gone out and asked Scott Stapp of Creed
to create their theme song.
Scott took a song off his solo album "The Great Divide" and inspired by the Florida Marlins went in and free-styled a new song.
Here is a small taste of the new Florida Marlins anthem courtesy of Scott Stapp:
Now, there are things I noticed with my limited education. The lyrics are Keep hoping and dreaming you will soar. But you wrote the song for a team whose mascot is a sea animal. There is no way a marlin can soar like an eagle in the ocean. Yes, I realize sometimes marlins jump out of the water, but I would hardly call 0.5 seconds out of water soaring. Perhaps a momentary lapse of judgment....just like using Scott Stapp as your theme song.
The organization is already hurting for attendance and you are going to play this as a fight song before each game. The only thing this will accomplish is to keep fans of the Marlins, if there are any, to stay home.
