U2 360 Concert DVD Released in June

U2 will release their "record breaking" Rose Bowl concert on DVD and Blu-ray on June 3.

This gig was important. It was streamed to 10 million people worldwide through YouTube, attended by 97,000 people, filmed with 27 HD cameras, and is the first ever 3D concert movie.

The problem with concert DVDs is it doesn't capture the live setting. It is still you sitting on your couch while your dog licks peanut butter off your crotch. However, the U2 concert dvds are well done and with surround sound, can make you feel like you are at the show.

I recommend them even without seeing this version. You might want to check out the blu-ray version. That version contains the documentary called Squaring the Circle: Creating U2360 with interviews from U2, Paul McGuinness, and the team behind the touring production.

Trailer below. You can pre-order the dvds here.
