According to The Pulse of Radio, Aerosmith plans to begin auditioning new singers next month, with guitarist Joe Perry telling Canada's QMI Agency that the band is "already getting the word out there." He added that they will "start having some auditions, making some phone calls. Hopefully, we'll have found a new singer by the summer, and Aerosmith will be able to go back out on the road."

This is a mistake, but whatever you want Joe Perry. There is no way you can find a replacement for Stephen Tyler (who is still alive last time I checked) and have it be something people want to see.

It also sounds like Perry has a few people in mind and the auditions are not open to the public. Which is a shame because there are singers out there who could add a fresh take on Aerosmith classics. I just hope it isn't the singer of Joe Perry's solo group, because that guy is sorely lacking in the vocals department.
