There was a TMZ report that security were instructed to deny entrance to a Guns N' Roses Canadia tour stop. Security told people to turn all shirts representing Slash inside out and leave all top hats in the car.

I think we can easily get carried away with this story. "OMGWTFBBQ! Axl Rose denied entrance to anyone wearing Slash gear. That guy is an asshole."

Think people, THINK! Axl Rose has done at least 500 shows (probably more) without Slash and has never once denied entrance to people wearing Slash gear. Why would he, all of a sudden, wake up and decide to ban Slash gear? He wouldn't.

But we all believe Axl Rose is a huge douchebag and can easily see him doing something like this. It makes no sense.

Axl Rose's personal assistant, Fernando Lebeis, has denied that any such ban ever took place. Lebeis said, "We did not advise any security to ban any sort of apparel.... If they did, they did it on their own accord, or under someone else's order — from within their management."

That I believe. This whole story reeks of usual shoddy TMZ reporting. We are shit for looking up facts and taking things seriously, but they are even worse. I would link you to the original TMZ story, but I am not going to give them the referral hit count.
