Yes, Disturbed's album Down with the Sickness is ten years old.
Just like a waifish ten year old, Disturbed's Down with the Sickness still has no other friends in my CD collection. It stands alone as the pinnacle of the nu-metal scene. Luckily, for Disturbed, they have evolved and moved into a different kind of band.
However, they feel that they need to unleash the Sickness one more time. They are reissuing it with exclusive b-sides and expanded artwork, as well as a first-time-ever vinyl edition. Also in March, Disturbed will relaunch their official web site with a special section, accessible by a code included with "The Sickness" reissue, that will contain exclusive clips, updated weekly, of the band recording their upcoming new album, due for release from Reprise Records later this year.

I guess you like Disturbed. I could hardly tell. I, for one, knew immediately this was a unique sounding band, and I wanted All of their songs I could get, so I went Straight out and bought them all. I have pre-ordered the re-release of The Sickness, which I first listened to every day for a whole year before I could even take a breath long enough to listen to the next album, Believe! Lyrics are lyrics, I know, but I wish David Draiman could, or would tap into, as he says on the Ten Thousand Fists song,'I'm Alive', the "torch", "the treasure", "the art", "the gift" that he has been blessed with. Is it not strange that there are No New Songs coming out with the re-release? Is this possibly a sign? Is David Draiman ready to "settle down" with this new girlfriend and have a 'quiet family life'? It is possible. He has reached the pinacle, and more. Maybe the other guys also are winding down. I'm sure they have made enough money to take care of them for the rest of their lives. I'd hate to see them go. I am smitten with each one of them. And David is my heart. I have become a Messianic Jew. I know they-he would ever want me as I am older and not a model, but as time goes by he seems to be catching up to me in age, so I can always fantasize. I love old Jewish guys!
