Promoters are a drain. They take your hard earned money just to make a few flyers and send out a mass email. Most bands have a better time promoting gigs themselves. But when you become as big as Guns N' Roses, you need "people."

You have people just to have people. People to take your leather pants to be dry cleaned. People to braid your greasy dreadlocks. People to help the people who tell other people why you haven't released Chinese Democracy.

The promoters of a Lima, Peru event where Guns N' Roses is going to play, got a bit carried away and claimed Jane's Addiction was going to open the show. This got a few panties in a bunch: "ZOMG JANES ADDICTION AND GNR?!?! IM GONNA JERK IT HARD NOW!" claimed internet poster "EyeBDangerous15"

This was a hoax or the result of an overzealous concert promoter who couldn't follow through on it. In a Guns N' Roses Twitter posting, yes we are taking Twitter postings as official words now, "Sometimes agents (and) promoters get carried away (with) things on their own. (Our) apologies (for) any confusion."

So I am sorry to inform EyeBDangerous15, but Jane's Addiction won't be at the concert and neither will Slash, Duff, Izzy, or Matt/Steven. But Axl Roses should be just as good if you close your eyes and get really drunk. I also hope you didn't plan on edging until the concert.
