Albums to Avoid This Holiday Season

It is getting down to it and all you procrastinators are running out of time. Christmas is almost here and there are a few things you can to promote good music this holiday season. Here is a quick list of shit albums you should refuse to buy.

U2 - No Line on the Horizon

Remember when U2 released the awesome album The Joshua Tree? Every song on it was a hit or a political anthem denouncing something. Well that band grew up, they care about things like giving instruments to indigent people and helping entire continents. They barely had enough time to put together a decent song, let alone an entire album worth purchasing for a loved one.

Normally I would recommend any U2 album to anyone, but No Line on the Horizon is fecal dust left in the toilet after four flushes. It sticks around and eventually you have to fish it out with your hands. It's a waste of time. (Review here)

Creed - Full Circle

Well you knew this was going to be on some year end list. It is the not-so-triumphant return of a band no one wants to remember. This album smells worse than your taco night diarrhea. If any on your list is asking for this album, their taste in music is just awful and death may be the present of all for them.

Skillet - Awake

This Christian band takes the Three Days Grace formula and infuses distilled, homogenized chicken shit. I would rather take a skillet to my ear canal than listen to this band one more time. Review here.

Bon Jovi - The Circle

This is the second album on the list with the word 'Circle' in it. There is something about that word that automatically makes your album blow goats for quarters. I have never been a Bon Jovi fan, but after his cross over into Country, Mr. Jovi believes he is a Country star. Elements of pop country are woven into the fabric of Bon Jovi music now. His latest single, We Weren't Born to Follow, is fucking terrible. (Video for We Weren't Born to Follow here)
