Way back in 2004 or something, Van Hagar decided to tour. The reason was because David Lee Roth had ascended to take his rightful place at the right hand of his father. While we were awaiting his triumph return to Earth, we had to endure another Van Hagar reincarnation.

The Van Hagar tour was seen by millions of people claiming that we were never going to see Van Halen ever again and we should just take what we can get. Those period sloppers, were wrong and David Lee Roth returned with a herald of angels to front the band he helped popularize.

It seems that every time Michael Anthony is interviewed nowadays he talks about how Alex and Eddie don't like his friendship with Hagar. Anthony was giving an interview to Mojo and said this:

"The major reason why I'm not in VAN HALEN (now) is because I became friends with Sammy again. The Van Halen brothers never got over that. If they hold a grudge, they hold it forever."

I would feel bad for Michael if he wasn't doing well with Chickenfoot. I like Anthony. The backing vocals were not the same when I saw Van Halen with Wolfie. That is where he shines and it was lacking. But since he does have Chickenfoot, I think it is time to let it go.
