Iggy Pop and the Stooges are the next to be inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone did an interview with Iggy after getting the news and he had this to say:

'Am I still cool? Or is that over now?'"

I think Iggy is one of the coolest cats in music. He is deserving of the accolades he and The Stooges get due to their influence on bands today.

I am hoping Iggy Pop and The Stooges will offer an interesting angle at the induction ceremony. The other inductees are Genesis (no problem there, they were very influential on progressive rock) and ABBA - fucking ABBA.

This is why I hate the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. You leave out important bands like MC5, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Rush, etc and you let in ABBA. I don't give the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame any credibility. But it means something to Iggy, so good for him and The Stooges.
