If you were friends with us on Facebook or Twitter, you would have heard the news as soon as it happened. Ronnie James Dio has been diagnosed with stomach cancer.

Dio had a few European dates scheduled and had to cancel them due to illness. He went to the doctor and found out he had stomach cancer.

Dio’s wife Wendy, she relayed the message that he started treatment immediately at the Mayo Clinic, assuring fans that he’ll be back on stage where he belongs, “after he kills this dragon.”

From her statement: “Long live rock and roll, long live Ronnie James Dio. Thanks to all the friends and fans from all over the world that have sent well wishes. This has really helped to keep his spirit up.”

We have sent a fifth level Healing Cleric to Dio and gifted him a level two Clock of Protection. Hopefully this will help him deal with a devastating disease. Now for some Dio music, Neon Knight which is my favorite Black Sabbath (with Dio)/Heaven and Hell song.
