PK 14 Invades America
Ok, this is freaky. I tried writing an article about PK 14, the latest
Rock N' Roll export from China and my computer froze on the article
four times. China doesn't want me to write this article, but I am doing
it anyway.
China has exported a lot of terrible things to this country - lead laced Thomas the Tank Engine toys, Nike shoes, and Chevy Avalanches. Ok, Avalanches were made in Canadia, but it mine as well be China.
But this xenophobic rock n' roll blogger is not "asccared" of rock n' roll from any country. In fact, my indengious peoples of Northern Congo Rock N' Roll album should be arriving any time now. I can't wait to get my lip disc enlarged!
The band PK 14 is a post-punk extravaganza in the styles of The Strokes and She Wants Revenge. PK 14 sings entirely in Mandarin Chinese, but that hasn't stopped me from listening to them.
In a country full of uptight Commies, it is good that Rock N' Roll can still be dangerous, raucous, and anti-establishment. That is why I support PK14 because in the USA Rock N' Roll has become watered down, blaze, and horse shit.
Check out the band's song Tamen below.
