Yesterday afternoon, my post about the Pope's Christmas album set off a firestorm of activity. Our email blew up with hate mail, our hotlines rang with disgruntled Catholics and approving atheists, and the Devil contacted me personally and offered to buy my soul in exchange for wiping the Earth of Nickelback.

But one call was out of the blue. It was from the Camerlengo of the Vatican saying: "His Holiness wants to connect with an even broader audience of his lost sheep. He would like to purchase your Heavy Metal Christmas CD idea" My response was, "if he forgives me for mocking up his picture with Doyle Von Frankenstein's face and gives us the exclusive access to the tracklisting, cd cover, and listening party, then we are good." The Camerlengo agreed and here are the first details.

Tiny Songs from the Vatican in the Key of METAL will be released on December 15. The Pope is currently working with notable Halford band members, guitarist Metal Mike and drummer Bobby Jarzombek. The band will recreate notable Religous hymns into a METAL version.

The Pope currently has most of the songs written, but will write Cum on Feel the Faithful from scratch. He promised to provide us with exclusive peek on the lyrics. The Pope also loved my image so much, he will use it for the album cover. Check it out below:
