U2 Playing 20th Anniversary of Berlin Wall Collapse

U2 will be playing a free show to honor the 20th anniversary of the Berlin Wall coming down. The band will be playing in front of the legendary Brandenburg Gate.

Why is this newsworthy? Well to see the FREE concert, you need a ticket. But tickets are gone; they were gone in three hours.

MTV is erecting a wall surrounding the concert to keep out people who don't have tickets. You can see the pure hilariousness of this. At a FREE concert to celebrate the unification of East and West Berlin, where a wall existed to keep the sides from mingling, MTV will erect a wall to keep people out.

MTV reps had this to say:

We are asking fans without tickets to watch the concert on television. The barrier is for security reasons and to contain the crowd, allowing the surrounding shops and restaurants to continue trading.”

COUGH COUGH BULLSHIT COUGH COUGH. They want people to watch on their shitty station and their shitty website so they can get more money. Fuck that shit.

Mr. MTV Tear down this wall! If they don't, people going to the show, it is your duty to tear it down.

Smells Like
