Stone Temple Pilots will release their new studio album next spring. I am excited for any new music I can get from Scott Weiland or Stone Temple Pilots. 2001's Shangra-La Dee Da was a disappointment compared to other STP albums.

Weiland spoke to Spinner.com about the new record:

"When we get back [from tour], we're going to finish the album," singer Scott Weiland told Spinner. "Then, when we finish the album, there will be a big tour around its release and that will probably be a long tour."

Weiland is never one to do something half assed, but maybe he should really take a break and relax a bit. He toured, successfully, behind his second solo album "Happy" In Galoshes, jumped on tour with STP, and then plans to record and tour again.

As a fan of Scott, I love being able to see him every year, but not at the expense of Scott's health.
