Canadian concert promoters Gillett Entertainment Group (Groupe Spectacles Gillett) have launched a countdown on their web site to a "major announcement" that will be made on Monday, October 19 at 7:00 a.m. EST.

The image capture is below and shows a closeup of Axl's mouth. Guns N' Roses are scheduled to play several shows in Taiwan, Korea nad Japan in December:

Dec. 11 - Taipei, Taiwan - Taipei County Stadium
Dec. 13 - Seoul, Korea - Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium
Dec. 16 - Osaka, Japan - Osaka Dome
Dec. 19 - Tokyo, Japan - Tokyo Dome

It is pretty funny that almost a year after it's release Axl is finally getting around to doing some tour dates for Chinese Democracy. I think it is funny and a great way to really fuck his long time record company who forced him to release an unpolished record. It wasn't done, but that didn't seem to matter to Geffen.

So one Canadian date and a few Orient dates is great. I can just see the conversation:

Axl: "I am ready to tour for Chinese Democracy."
Suit: "Oh really? Oh this is great! I will ready the press machine. You are doing North America, right?"
Axl: "Nah, I was thinking of a few dates in Japan and maybe a few in Canada."
Suit: Oh that is a good idea. Just to get your feet wet in touring again.
Axl: Yea, right..feet wet. I want Japan, Korea, and maybe Taiwan. And I want Christmas off."
Suit: You got it Mr. Rose. Whatever you say.

Yea, Axl is a dick, but the way he is jerking around Geffen is a thing of absolute beauty.
