We make fun of KISS a lot here, mostly because they are low hanging fruit and we are too lazy to take educated shots at Motorhead. While I have stopped buying KISS memorabilia, albums, and concert tickets, the droves of KISS Army members do not.

Sonic Boom was just released to little fanfare really, but quietly took the Number 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart behind Feel the Steel by Steel Panther. Is it the best KISS album ever created? Not by a long shot. Is it a good effort? Yea, it isn't bad, but it should be forgotten in a year or two.

Sonic Boom sold 108,000 copies and the Number 2 ranking is the highest charting album from KISS. Wait a second, I hear it. Do you? It sounds like this: CHOOO CHOOOO CHOOO, kind of like a balloon being inflated. Oh, sorry that is Greed $immons' ego growing to Manhattan Island size proportions. We will never fucking hear the end of this.
