U2 Bigger Draw Than Pope

U2 are bigger than the Pope. Well maybe not in God's eyes, but as far as Giants Stadium is concerned, they are. They set the attendance record previously held by Pope John Paul II.

The band performed two nights last Wednesday and Thursday and packed the stadium at 84,000 people. This is largely due to their 360 stage design. It is a massive stage needing two days of setup and two days of take down. They have about 100 semis lugging it from site to site. The kicker is U2 performs on the stage for only about 2-2.5 hours a night.

What isn't known is how The Rolling Stones will respond to this threat. They enjoy having all the records for biggest stage, most attended shows, etc. How will they respond to this massive U2 stage?

Their stage was the biggest and largest stage ever assembled for their Bigger Bang tour. Now U2 has the largest stage and is packing more people. I recommend a stage similar to the height of Mick Jagger in the Love is Strong video. That would help satisfy my homo fantasies of being between Mick Jagger's legs.
