Queen Teams with Logitech

The legendary rock band QUEEN announced today it is making "music history" with the release of its new album, "Absolute Greatest" – the ultimate compilation of the band's most popular, enduring and iconic songs on EMI Music's Parlophone Records.

In an industry first, QUEEN is joining up with Logitech to offer "Absolute Greatest" exclusively on the company's new Logitech Squeezebox Radio Wi-Fi music player. As of today, owners of the Logitech Squeezebox Radio can listen to the new QUEEN album before it hits the shops on November 16 and experience a series of unique QUEEN photos and track-by-track audio commentaries recorded by the band.

The Logitech Squeezebox Radio Wi-Fi music player is a kind of magic jukebox for music lovers. Launched earlier this month, it provides instant access to a limitless choice of music — whether it's from your personal music library, Internet radio from around the world or from the growing number of online subscription services such as Last.fm, Napster and Pandora. This means owners of the Logitech Squeezebox Radio can bring the pleasure of many thousands of songs from all around the world into their home, in high-quality audio, at the touch of a button. The Squeezebox Radio also features a vibrant color screen, access to Facebook and Flickr, and delivers big sound thanks to the built-in speakers.

I guess this might sell well. I only use my extensive iTunes music library to fuel my music addiction. I don't need Pandora, Last.Fm or Napster to fill my gaping music hole. I certainly don't need any external player to pull sons off a wi-fi point and pull in my music (already own), and music from sources that I don't want to subscribe to.

However, I am a lucky SOB because I own classic and great music and continually keep up with new music releases thanks to this piss poor website. But, I do realize that some people might not be that lucky and haven't heard Judas Priest's British Steel. That is where this contraption might come in handy.
