NME Discusses Meaning Behind Iconic Albums

did a great piece on famous and iconic album covers and who was on the cover or where the cover was filmed, etc.

There are a lot of great albums, but the ones I found interesting were

The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers

Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers

The album features Joe Dallesandro, who was used in a lot of Andy Warhol movies. I actually found this album while savaging a local Goodwill and the vinyl version has a real working zipper. I just moved so I can't find my vinyl or I'd snap a picture of it.

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

Pantera Vulgar Dispaly of Power

According to NME, this guy was paid $10 a punch to have his face smashed. It took 30 punches to get the shot right, which might be the worst way to make 300 bucks ever. I am guessing the guy was addicted to some type of drugs because I can't see a sane man getting punched in the face for such a paltry sum...but Jackass was popular.

You can see and read the rest of the list here. It has the locations of Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin, who were the dudes on the Pink Floyd album Wish You Were Here and who are those twins from Siamese Dream.
