U2 brings the largest stage ever created for one concert and their U2 360 tour to the United States. Only several dates here in the US and almost all of them are sold out.

Think of this as only a warmup though, the band will do other cities and other venues next summer. They have kicked off most of their tours in the US and wanted to kick off the tour in Europe. Plus, they have soccer stadiums that are a bit more conducive to the stage design.
