Rob Zombie's Halloween II Lands in Third
Rob Zombie's sequel to Halloween, did not fair as well as his first
movie. Halloween 2: Michael Myers Scared Stoopid, finished in third
place over the weekend with $17.4 million. It was beat by Inglorious
Basterds and THE Final Destination.
What makes this worse is THE Final Destination was scheduled for a straight to DVD release. Then some suit decided, "hey teenagers will pay for anything in the final weekend before they go back to school. Let's just throw it in theaters and see how it does."
It is a shame that there isn't a holiday in the United States where Rob Zombie might have been able to use to market his movie.
