According to Hits Daily Double, the companion web site of music industry tip sheet HITS, the new album from California's OTEP, "Smash The Control Machine", is on track to sell between 12,000 and 15,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release.

OTEP's last CD, "The_Ascension", opened with 10,200 units back in November 2007 to debut at position No. 81 on The Billboard 200 chart.
