Acclaimed guitarist/songwriter Dave Kushner (VELVET REVOLVER) has received a 2009 Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Main Title Theme Music" for the title track from the FX television series "Sons Of Anarchy". Kushner collaborated with award-winning producer and songwriter Bob Thiele Jr. on the music.

Unlike the Grammy's, the Emmy's still have some clout. The Grammy's are bought and handed out by what is popular or whatever artist's label pays the most money for the win. The Emmy's tend to showcase great TV and actors in the small screen.
