MOTÖRHEAD drummer Mikkey Dee will sit out most of the band's upcoming North American tour in order to take part in the first season of "Kändisdjungeln", the Swedish version of the popular U.K. and U.S. reality-TV show "I'm a Celebrity…Get Me out of Here!"

"Phil [Campbell, MOTÖRHEAD guitarist] and Lemmy [MOTÖRHEAD mainman Ian Kilmister] have seen the show and think it's pretty cool," Mikkey tells the Aftonbladet newspaper. "They think I'm crazy [for doing it] but pretty cool."

"I start the U.S. tour with MOTÖRHEAD on August 27," Dee tells the Expressen newspaper. "I just have time to play a couple of gigs before it's time to go to the jungles of Malaysia to do this TV show. I will then rejoin the band on the road and finish out the tour."

This is an interesting reason to miss a tour. Sure I have heard, personal, medical, drug overdose, but I want to be on a reality TV show? This is definitely the first time I have heard that.

Well I am seeing the legendary Motorhead for the 1,000th time early on in this tour, so I might get the chance to see Mikkey Dee. Dee is a great drummer and an excellent compliment to Lemmy, but any drummer would welcome the chance to play with Motorhead.
